How Sofa Sizes Are Measured

All sofa dimensions refer to the overall outside measurements, including arms, measured from the outermost edges. Seat count or the manufacturer’s description does not determine the cleaning price.

Additional Upholstery Cleaning Charges

Heavy-Soiling Surcharge — $40 per sofa
Applies to heavily soiled upholstery requiring additional cleaning time, extra treatments or repeated cleaning passes.
Additional Cushion-Side Cleaning — $25 per sofa
Applies when loose or non-fixed seat and back cushions have been flipped or turned and their normally concealed sides are also soiled and require cleaning.
Throw Cushions — $5 each
Applies to decorative throw cushions requiring cleaning on both sides.

Additional charges are based on the extra work required and will be discussed before cleaning. Oversized cushions and exceptionally soiled items may require a separate quote.

If stains are set in, or require more than my general cleaning solution which is optimised for grease, body oil and protein/food soiling - a Targeted Stain Treatment would apply: $15 per spot/spill/stain (eg: coffee)

Specialist Fabrics & Delicate Materials

Some upholstery fabrics require specialist assessment, testing or alternative cleaning methods.

This includes genuine suede, nubuck, velvet, viscose, delicate natural fibres and other moisture-sensitive or specialist-finish materials.

These items may incur an additional charge of $25–$50 or more, depending on the fabric, condition and cleaning requirements. Some items may require an individual quote or may not be suitable for wet extraction.

Please disclose the upholstery material when requesting a quote. Where the fabric is unknown, an assessment and testing may be required before cleaning. Any additional charges will be confirmed before work begins.
